What should I do if I have a problem with my e-scooter?

If in any case you have a problem with your e-scooter, please reach out to our support team via email on support@rileyscooters.com – include your order number and delivery postcode with an explanation of the problem or fault, we will be in contact as soon as possible.

Is it legal to use an electric scooter in the UK or Ireland?

It is not currently legal to ride an electric scooter on public roads and can only be used on privately-owned land. However, e-scooters have seen a growth in popularity and trials are being done for future legalisation.

Can you use an electric scooter in the rain?

Our e-scooters are water-resistant/ splash resistant but not waterproof. They can be used in light rain conditions, but exposure to larger amounts of moisture may cause damage to key components of the scooter. More importantly, riding in severe wet conditions poses a safety hazard for the driver. 

How old do you need to be to ride an electric scooter?

We strongly recommended riders to be at least 16 years of age before riding.

 

Payment

Do you offer Finance / Buy Now Pay Later?

Yes, we offer Klarna Pay which dissects your payments into three equal sums with zero interest and zero fees.

We also offer leases available via our partners.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Google Pay, Klarna and ShopPay

 

Delivery and Returns

Where do you deliver?

Currently we deliver to all of the UK and Ireland.

How long does it take to deliver?

Due to COVID-19, please expect longer than normal shipping times. Shipping times within the United Kingdom are 3-7 days, and 10-14 days to the US and other countries.

Next-Day Delivery within the UK is available on in-stock items. There is an additional charge for this based upon the product ordered.

Can I cancel my order?

If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us immediately via our email address: support@rileyscooters.com. Please include your order number when contacting us. 

My scooter is faulty/damaged

In the unlikely case your electric scooter arrives faulty or damaged within 14 days of receiving it, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. Reach out to us on support@rileyscooters.com where we will support you through the next steps– include your order number, information about the issue and any pictures/videos that demonstrate the problem. 

Can I return my scooter?

You have 30 days to return your scooter and receive a full refund on your original payment methods. Scooter must be received in ‘new condition.’ Exceptions to returns include custom/personalised items, please get in touch if you have any concerns about your custom item. Charging

What country plug/ charger is included?

Orders placed for UK delivery have standard UK plug and charger.

How long does it take to charge?

Our charging times vary by model:

RS1 – 2 hours

RS2 – 5 hours

 

Warranty 

What is the warranty?

We provide a 1-year scooter and battery warranty.

What does warranty cover?

Your warranty covers you against any manufacturing defects. This does not include consumable parts that are subject to wear over time, such as tyres, tubes, bearing, spokes, brake pads and handlebar grips.
