Q1: I've noticed that the range of my electric scooter isn't as long as advertised. Why is that?
The actual range of an electric scooter can vary based on several factors:
• Rider Weight: Heavier riders can decrease the overall range.
• Terrain: Riding uphill or on rough terrains requires more energy, reducing the range.
• Riding Style: Constantly accelerating and braking can decrease the range.
• Battery Health: Over time, batteries can degrade and not hold as much charge.
• Tyre Pressure: Low tyre pressure can increase rolling resistance, which can decrease range.
Always ensure you are charging your scooter fully and maintaining it properly for optimal performance.
Q2: My scooter doesn't perform as well uphill as advertised. Why?
The scooter's performance uphill can be influenced by several factors:
• Rider Weight: Heavier riders might experience reduced performance.
• Slope Steepness: Steeper slopes require more power.
• Battery Charge: A battery that's not fully charged can affect performance.
• Tyre Traction and Pressure: Properly inflated tyres with good traction are crucial for uphill rides.
Remember that the advertised performance is often based on ideal conditions and may not account for all real-world variables. If the issue only
occurs up hill this is most likely external factors.
Q3: Why does my scooter continuously beep?
Continuous beeping from your scooter can indicate a few things:
• Cruise Control: The main cause of continuous beeping is once your scooter reaches and maintains a speed it will beep, indicating you can let go of the throttle and the speed will be maintained. To exit out of cruise control, press throttle down or brake.
• Low Battery Warning: Check the battery indicator.
• Fault or Error: The scooter might be detecting a malfunction. Check for any error messages or codes on the display.
Q4: The speed of my scooter doesn't match what's advertised. Why?
Several factors can influence the top speed of an electric scooter:
• Battery Charge: A less-than-full battery can reduce top speed.
• Rider Weight: Heavier riders might experience slightly reduced speeds.
• Terrain: Riding on inclines or rough terrains can reduce speed.
• Wind Resistance: Strong headwinds can impact your scooter's performance.
• Scooter Mode: Some scooters have different modes (e.g., eco, sport) that limit top speed to save battery.
• Wear and Tear: Over time, components can wear out, affecting performance.
Ensure your scooter is in optimal condition and the mode settings are as desired for the best speed. For any issues not addressed in this FAQ, or for more specific guidance, always refer to your electric scooter's user manual or contact the manufacturer's support.
Q5: Why does my RS1/RS2 not turn on? I have put the headset on but there is no power.
For the RS1/RS2 models, there is a wire inside the stem that needs to be connected before you assemble the unit. Make sure this wire is connected before putting the headset on. If this is connected and there is still an issue then ensure the battery is fully charged. If there is still an issue speak to our support team.
